—Grace is the groom standing at the altar waiting for the bride with open arms. She’s spitting at him and calling him all sorts of names and everyone around him is saying he shouldn’t marry her. But he waits for her anyway. He stands there waiting.

Grace is unfathomable because our hearts are so deeply laden with abject depravity and separated from it but I believe that it is the very essence of God. To understand Christ is to understand grace, which is a continual process that we call denying ourselves and following Christ.
